Meet Mara!
This sweet young girl was rescued from life on the streets of Puerto Rico. When she was found, she was hungry and suffering from a severe case of mange that took weeks of TLC to heal. Despite everything she’s been through, Mara is incredibly social and affectionate. She clearly had no street skills and seems to have been born as someone’s pet before being abandoned to fend for herself.
Her rescuer believes that, with our help, Mara can finally have the safe and happy life she deserves here in the States. She’s currently in boarding in Puerto Rico, waiting for her chance at a foster or forever home.
Mara is about 10 months old and weighs 29 lbs.
She is spayed, vaccinated (2 rounds + rabies + Bordetella), and 4DX negative.

Interview
One of our adoption coordinators will reach out to you to discuss what type of dog would best fit your needs and family.
Meet the Pet
Once approved, you will be connected with the animals foster to schedule an in-person meet and greet.
Take the Pet Home
After the meet and greet, if the animal is a ggod fit, a trial adoption will be scheduled where you bring the animal home for a trial.
Sign Adoption Contract
if after the trial period you wish to adopt the animal, you will complete our adoption contract.
Pay Fee
Most adoption fees are $395 for dogs.
