My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chico, a neutered male lab/pit mix that is 2-4 yrs old and weighs 70 lbs.
Chico is friendly, but he is very hyper. He knows some commands but will knock people down. He will need work on walking on a leash.
Chico is kennel trained but does tear them up if he is left alone too long, as he does have separation anxiety. He has been around children, but due to his high energy, older children would probably be best. He plays with other dogs but tends to get rough so dogs his size would probably be best. He has been around cats and will chase for fun

More about this shelter

We try our best to get the animals out of here to other shelters/rescues or adoptions. We also return back to owners as soon as possible. We have sent several animal to other shelters through out the year. We have wonderful volunteers that set up the transports for us and get in contact with other shelters. We also do close work with the Polk County Humane Society along with some close shelters. Our goal is to find homes for the animals.
