MY RESCUE STORY

I’m Rumi, and I was rescued from the euthanasia list at Pyeongtaek City Shelter. Before that, I spent a long time confined in a small outdoor cage with barely any room to move. Because of that, my paw pads have splayed out like a ray, and I currently walk with my hind legs slightly flat to the ground. I’ll be getting an X-ray and further medical checkups soon. But even after all I’ve been through, I’m still cheerful, affectionate, and ready to begin a brighter life with a loving family.

MY PERSONALITY

I’m energetic, affectionate, and super smart! I love being around people, and I show my love easily — leaning in for pets, giving kisses, and rolling over for belly rubs, even with new friends. I’m soft, bright, and full of love.

MY SOCIAL SKILLS

With People: I adore human attention! I haven’t met kids yet, but I’m gentle and affectionate, so I’ll likely do well with them.

With Dogs: I love greeting and playing with dogs of all sizes. My energy can be a lot for timid dogs, so gentle supervision is helpful.

With Cats: I haven’t met any cats yet, so a cat-free home or slow introductions would be best.

ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES

I have high energy and love walks, exploring, and playtime! I do pull a bit on the leash to go where I want, but I follow my handler well with gentle guidance. With regular training, I’ll become a great walking buddy. I especially love running freely in fenced open spaces!
