My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jett
I think it`s easy to remember my name because I am a jet black lady! At the beginning of October, I was found wandering around Noblesville, which was no mean feat, as I am small and not easy to spot. I was suffering from an upper respiratory infection, live fleas, and dental disease. I am 7 years, 11 months old and already spayed. Because I had a microchip, my owner was contacted, but they never responded. That is okay, because I don`t want to be someplace as an unwanted pet. As soon as I recovered, I was sent to the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe (SKCC). I am really enjoying all the cozy little spots where I can curl up and nap or watch what`s going on in the big room. The interviewer lady (IL) has visited me twice now. The first time, I stayed inside the cone-shaped kitty cat tree and tried to ignore her questions. The second time, I found a spot to nap on a wall shelf bed. I didn`t mind when she began to pet my head and neck. I wasn`t very talkative, but I did enjoy having her pay attention to me. Because I tend to be shy, my new owner should give me lots of time to become comfortable in my new home. Once I feel relaxed, I will probably spend my time exploring your house. Once a wanderer, always a wanderer. 11-24-25

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
