With a heart full of sweetness and a soul that’s quietly searching for safety, Roxy is a gentle 2 year old mixed breed who’s learning how to trust the world around her. Life can feel a little overwhelming for this sensitive girl, so she’s looking for a calm, patient human who will go at her pace and show her how joyful being a dog can be. Roxy has done well with other dogs, especially those who offer soft, respectful greetings. Loud or overly enthusiastic pups can be a bit much for her, so she’d thrive in a home with a mellow canine companion that can help show her the ropes of being a dog. She hasn’t met any cats or kids yet, but her gentle nature suggests she could adapt with thoughtful introductions. This sweet girl is ready to blossom in a quiet, loving environment where she can build confidence and feel safe. If you’re someone who believes in the power of patience, kindness, and quiet companionship, Roxy might be the perfect match for your heart. Give us a call or PM if you would like to meet her.

Here at the Red Desert Humane Society we strive to place pets in the best homes possible. We ask that you fill out an adoption application prior to meeting our animals. One can be emailed to you.
Once we receive your application we will review your application. During this process we will make calls to Landlords (if applicable). As well as your veterinarian that has provided care for your past or present pets.
We ask that you provide photos of your current residence where the dog will be living.
Once this is complete we ask that your bring your current animals (if any) to the shelter to meet your potential new pet as to prevent any possible problems once you get home.
If all of this goes well and you are approved we will then have you sign our adoption contract as well as pay the adoption fee.
Please call for our adoption fees or any other information.

More about this shelter
The Red Desert Humane Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the placement of previously homeless animals in new, loving environments.
We alter and vaccinate all animals prior to placement, and screen all applicants to ensure a lifelong match between people and pets. We also educate the community about the importance of spaying and neutering pets, proper pet care, and animal welfare. We place dogs and cats in loving, forever homes!
