My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Soup Dumpling (aka Soup)! We are so very proud of this little girl. She came to her foster parents so scared and nervous that she refused to leave her crate or cubby when there was someone else in the room. Then one day, she built up the courage to come say hi to her foster mom and she’s been a love bug ever since! Believe us, taking the time to gain her trust is so worth it and so rewarding. Now she greets her foster parents at the door, struts around for the biggest pets, makes so many air biscuits, plays fetch with her favorite toy mouse, chases her tail, and produces the loudest purrs.

Soup will need someone who is patient and willing to take the time to gain her trust and comfort. It took a few months for her to get comfortable with her foster parents, so we anticipate it being the same for anyone new. She would probably also do best in a household without children, as she still gets a little jumpy if you move too quickly. Soup is truly a delight. She’s beautiful, playful, and even sounds like a little Yoshi when she greets you.

Soup is not currently being fostered with another cat, but she is gentle and may be able to acclimate to another kitty with proper introductions.

Soup is estimated to be about 1.5 years old. She is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Please apply for this beautiful girlie today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
