My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, Im Katrina.

I enjoy sunsets, long walks in the park, and scratches all day long.

Im calm and quiet indoors, but outside? Thats where I shine. I love walks. Love them. My zoomies are legendary, my fetch skills are aspirational, and I am 97% confident I could dominate an agility course with just mild trash talk. I just need to find that course.

I live with my foster sister Poe, who is 13 and a proud curmudgeon. I still try to play with her anyway, andagainst her willI have successfully added a little pep back into her step. Youre welcome, Poe. With other dogs, Im submissive but Im not afraid to ball out. Im also housebrokengold star for me.

I do have some separation anxiety, but my foster mom and I are working on it. If I get my long walks, have toys and bones available, and the trash is secured, Im getting better. Also, important note: if foster mom leaves driftwood out, I assume it is for me. Thats not anxietythats logic.

Im totally fine sleeping in my kennel at night, but during the day I do best free-range with a window so I can monitor the neighborhood and judge strangers quietly.

I am affectionate, loyal, hilarious, and almost definitely smarter than you.

Dont take it personally.

Its fine

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is three-fold: submit an application, meet the pet, then arrange for us to do your in-home interview.
Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
Some special circumstances may change the fee; see pet's listing for actual adoption fee.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Most of our pets all live in our homes, so adoption applications must be submitted for appointments to be made to see the pets. We also have them with us at our outdoor events, so view our "events" calendar on our website for those dates and locations.
