My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

AFFECTIONATE PAIR ALERT! We are Gizmo and Lily and are a very bonded brother and sister pair. We are super duper sweet, loving and friendly and looooove human attention. My (Gizmo) favorite thing is to be on your lap and if you'll let me, I'd really like to make biscuits on you while I'm there. If you have any plans, you might as well cancel them since they only way I'm leaving your lap is if you move me off! I'm a very cute boy! And me (Lily) loves to rub against you while purring, hoping you will give me some pets. We are quite a pair and just ready and waiting for love! We were adopted when we were kittens, but our mom was facing some challenges and made the very difficult decision to return us because she could no longer provide the care we deserve. So with broken hearts, we lost our home. Stray Cat Alliance promised that we would stay together and never be separated because some stories are meant to be lived side-by-side. Until we find our forever home would you consider fostering us? We would really like to be back in a home again. Or maybe you're ready to have two special cats join your family forever? If you can help get us back into a home again, we would be soooo happy! Please come meet and spend some time with us - you will love us!

Go meet their pets

Due to COVID-19, we are not currently holding in-person adoption events. Most of our cats are in foster homes and we are doing virtual meet-and-greets with them.

We also have adoptable cats at our two partner cat cafes – CatCafe Lounge (https://www.catcafelounge.com/) in West Los Angeles and Cat Therapy (https://www.cattherapysb.com/) in Santa Barbara. You can make a reservation on their websites, or we can arrange a meeting by appointment once you have filled-out our application and spoken to our team.

More about this rescue

Stray Cat Alliance is a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy, and valued. Everyday, our team works to save the helpless lives of kittens and cats by providing: spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. Our goals are to:

-Eradicate cruelty toward cats through advocacy, rescue, and education.
-Find loving forever homes for cats and kittens taken in through all of our programs.
-Help shelters transform from executioners to safe havens for cats by implementing SCA’s life-saving policies and procedures.
-Educate the community about the plight of free‐roaming cats and empower people to take action to stop population growth through spay and neuter.
-Create and sustain a No-Kill Nation by mentoring other communities to become no-kill through our grassroots programs.

Stray Cat Alliance envisions a time when all cats are valued and safe whether in homes or communities, and when shelters serve as temporary safe havens.
