Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gordy and Quint are a pair of 6-month-old playful, energetic kittens who are looking for their forever home!
Gordy is the more outgoing of the pair. He loves to follow his foster dad around and lend a helping paw on all household tasks. He is always ready to play with his buddy Quint and the other foster cats he lives with.
His favorite toys are pompoms and any toys he can hold in his mouth. He's got quite the motor and loves to play at night and early in the morning. When he's not playing, he loves to sleep in the sun on his cat tower or on his foster dad’s lap.
Quint is a little more reserved but still loves to play with Gordy and the other foster cats. He loves tackling anything that moves under the covers, and likes to spend time gazing out the window. At dinner time, he can get a little territorial over his food and may play-growl while eating–but as long as you keep his food far enough apart from his fellow kitties, he’s fine.
Quint does have a crooked jaw, which may need surgery later on in life. It doesn't seem to affect him now but as he continues to grow, he may end up having issues. His forever people should be committed to working with the vet to make sure Quint stays happy and healthy.
Gordy and Quint both have high energy levels when playing and love to chase each other around. They like to follow you around to check on all the daily activities, and are very curious cats. They currently live in a two-bedroom apartment with their foster dad and two other foster cats.
Their ideal home would be one with enough space for them to run around and places where they can relax and lounge around in the sun. Quint is a big fan of watching the outside world so he would love lots of windows to look out of.
These guys both love having being around; these sweet boys also enjoy snuggling with their foster dad in bed at night.

Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
