My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Everyone, please meet Mama Cookie!

Calling all cuddle lovers—your perfect snuggle buddy has arrived!

Cookie is an adorable 2–3-year-old, ~50-pound sweetheart who is equal parts snuggly sofa companion and playful pup. After giving birth and raising NINE incredible babies in foster care, Mama Cookie is finally getting her turn to be someone’s baby—and she is absolutely thriving out of the shelter.

Cookie is a gentle, soft-hearted, silly girl who wants nothing more than to cozy up next to her humans and nap the day away. If your ideal Sunday involves staying in bed, watching movies, or being glued to the couch under a warm blanket, Cookie will be right there with you—pressed against your side, waiting for belly rubs. She shows her love in the cutest ways: the excited full-body wiggle when you walk in the door (even if you were literally gone for 30 seconds), gentle snuggles, and silly grumbles when she wants pets or more treats. And while she loves affection and playtime, Cookie is also an independent girly. She has been left out of the crate for several hours and has proven to be calm, respectful, and trustworthy.

What We Know & Love

Commands known:
She's one smart Cookie!  Cookie has mastered sit, down, stay, come, off, and crate—and she’s eager to keep learning.

Leash manners:

Cookie currently still finds the outside world scary so her walks are kept potty only as she continues to build confidence. In the home, she lets her guard down and is the biggest mush to anyone who lives with her or comes over to visit! Cookie would thrive in a safe space, extra points if that space has a backyard with adopters that can offer her patience while she works on exploring the outside world on her terms and slowly learning that the outdoors can be as equally welcoming as indoors.

Crate training:
Cookie is crushing her crate training and can be left there while you are out of the house as long as she has some yummy snacks to occupy her!  She sleeps through the night in her crate without issue.

House training:
Cookie is fully potty trained!

People manners:
Cookie is happy, gentle, sweet, and polite to everyone she meets in the home. She bonds deeply with her humans and adores cuddles, group naps, and playtime with toys.

Cookie’s Journey
After bringing nine healthy pups into the world, Cookie is finally getting the chance to just be a dog again. She came into foster care a little unsure of the world, but with patience, safety, and love, she’s showing more of her silly, playful, sassy personality every day. Watching her discover toys, try fetch for the first time, or enjoy her kong like it’s a priceless treasure has been incredibly special.

The Home She’s Hoping For
Cookie is looking for a calm, loving home that appreciates a laid-back, loyal companion where she can be the only pet. She’d be perfect for someone who wants a, a movie-night cuddle buddy, a silly sassy source of entertainment, and a dog who will think you hung the moon. She’s low-maintenance, affectionate, and so ready to be cherished. With continued support in leash training and confidence building, Cookie will blossom into an even more incredible best friend.
