*** Zola & Cheddar are at our PetSmart Aero adoption center ***
Zola #19900: black/orange tortoiseshell, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 3/15/24 Cheddar #19901: orange tabby, short hair, neutered male, born 8/1/25
Cats: **BONDED PAIR** Dogs: unknown Children: late elementary+
BACKGROUND: Zola was heavily pregnant when she was found by and made friends with a Rescue House volunteer who feeds a colony of homeless cats. She gave birth to four kittens two days after arriving in foster care and spent the first couple of months fully focused on nurturing her babies, one of whom was Cheddar.
PERSONALITY: Playful and sweet, mother and son make a great pairing. ---Zola looks like an Egyptian cat goddess with her elegant black-and-gold coat and slender build! This sweetheart is very friendly though initially cautious; don’t take it personally if she hisses when you first meet or something startles her, it’s just her expressing that uncertainty, and she’ll soon be following you around asking for pets with her cute high-pitched squeaky meow as she winds around your legs. Zola loves ear rubs along with body pets. She prefers to keep her paws under her own control and hasn’t quiiiite become a lap cat yet, but she has been indicating that she’s thinking about it. We expect that as Zola fully settles into a permanent home with her well-known people she will blossom into the perfect companion kitty. ---Who doesn’t love Cheddar cheese? This awesome kitten loves all-over pets (though is less sure about belly rubs) and has oodles of energy! Cheddar is a big laid-back boy (for a kitten) who loves to chase and wrestle his siblings. He is very possessive of captured toys and wants to hog all the yummy treats for himself! ---Zola and Cheddar MUST be adopted together.
COMPATIBILITY: Zola and Cheddar adore each other. They have not met any other cats, nor do we know their thoughts on dogs. Because Zola does startle easily, though she is very gentle and not at all aggressive, we don’t recommend a home with young children. Calm respectful kids nine and up should be fine.
A sweet little tortie, a cheesy orange cutie… will Zola and Cheddar make your life better?
