My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jay: The Tall, Dark, and Handsome Shepherd/Boxer Mix!

Jay is a 1-year-old German Shepherd/Boxer mix from an accidental litter, looking for a forever home where he can continue to build trust and confidence. Despite the changes he's experienced in his young life, this sweet boy is brimming with potential and charm. As the largest of his three brothers, Jay weighs in at 80+ pounds. His size might be imposing, but he’s a gentle giant at heart. Jay is the most confident of his brothers, although he still requires support to fully trust and feel safe. He's calm on walks and rarely pulls on the leash, often glancing back to ensure you're close by. Quick to pick up new commands, Jay thrives on mental stimulation through toys and enrichment activities. A perfect balance of active and cuddly, he enjoys playtime as much as he loves snuggling up to his human companions. While he gets along well with his brothers, their play can get rowdy, as siblings often do! He does good with other dogs, and would do better with older kids until he can appropriately establish his 'inside' boundaries, but cats are a no-go for him. Jay would do well in a home that can offer him stability, love, and plenty of engagement to keep his intelligent mind active. His ideal family should be prepared to continue building his confidence and provide him with the companionship he craves.
