My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Tanner is a quiet soul.  He may not run up to you right away, but he longs to feel comfortable enough to do that.  He needs your patience, and he will reward it with love and a lifetime of loyalty.  Tanner may not be a kitten, but he is young for a cat, and healthy.  He is worthy of a home, and simple joys and stable routine will make the ultimate difference in his life.  He could be a single companion or join other cats if you have them.  He may be a little shy for young children, but he is the perfect cat for someone.

Tanner's life before we found him is a mystery, but the life of a cat on his own is rarely easy.  He faced hard times, not enough food, no clean water, cars, people who did not want cats around, predators who wanted him as their next meal.  Tanner wants simply to rest first.  He is already learning that his basic needs are met, and he will never again be hungry, cold, or scared of a deadly threat again.  While years of being cautious stick with him, he knows that humans are good and take care of him.  Now that he has learned the routines of safe indoor life, what would really allow him to flourish is a forever home.  He may not even know what this is in order to want it, but it would make his life to have his own space, some windows and simple furniture, and most importantly, a family to give him time to adjust and to love him unconditionally.  Could you be his special person?  He is waiting.

Thank you for your interest in a CATsNAP cat or kitten!

If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application located on our website catsnap.org.

We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes.  For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet.

Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! We care deeply about our cats and want the best match for all involved.

All CATsNAP cats and kittens are:
  • Vaccination against Panleukopenia (Distemper), Rhinotracheitis, and Calicivirus
  • Vaccination against Rabies (if animal is over 4 months of age)
  • Testing for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)
  • Initial de-worming, flea, and ear mite treatment
  • Sterilization of the animal prior to adoption; no exceptions
  • Micro-chipping as mandated by state law
