My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Slater may be small, but this little shadow-colored sweetheart has a whole lot of heart. He came to us as a young kitten and is currently thriving in a loving foster home, where he’s learning that people mean safety, warmth, and full bellies.

Slater is a gentle, curious kitten who loves to explore new spaces on wobbly paws, chase anything that crinkles, and curl up in a soft blanket when he’s done playing. He’s got bright eyes that follow every movement, a quiet confidence, and just enough kitten sass to keep you smiling.

He’s social, affectionate, and doing wonderfully around people. With a little patience and continued love, he’ll settle beautifully into a home of his own. Slater is adoptable now and will be ready to join his forever family as soon as he gets the all-clear from his foster.

If you’re looking for a sweet baby who just wants a safe place to grow up, Slater is your boy. 💛

More about this shelter

Pauls Valley Animal Welfare Society a 501c3 was formed to improve the problems of disease, overpopulation & abandonment of stray animals in Garvin County.
Our organization is made up of over 300 members who care about animals. It is an eclectic group varying in race, age, economic and professional levels and religious affiliations. We are, however, single-minded when confronting our community problems of animal cruelty and neglect, overpopulation and the humane treatment in which our strays and homeless dogs and cats are housed. Our goal is to relieve their suffering, do everything in our power to find them homes and provide a decent animal shelter for Garvin County.
