My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Bella – the big-eyed cuddle queen with a flair for drama!

Bella is a young tabby girl with the roundest, most expressive eyes you’ve ever seen—and she knows exactly how to use them to win your heart. This girl is an absolute lovebug who thrives on attention, affection, and being the center of your world.

Bella adores cuddles, pets, and any moment where she gets to soak up your love. But if another cat tries to steal her spotlight? Oh, she’s not having it. She’d do best with laid-back feline friends who respect her star power (or as a solo diva who can shine all on her own).

And when it’s playtime? Get ready. This girl loses her mind for a laser pointer. We’re talking full zoomies, acrobatics, and championship-level laser chasing.

If you’re looking for a cuddly, expressive, affectionate companion with a dash of dramatic flair, Bella is your girl. Come meet the tabby who’s ready to steal your heart—and keep all the attention for herself.

Go meet their pets

Come meet your new best friend! You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens at our shelter located at 3412 Oaklawn Blvd. We welcome visitors to come see the animals, spend a little time with them, and find the perfect match.

Public viewing is available during our regular hours, and visits can also be arranged by appointment on our "closed" days during staff hours so you can have dedicated time to meet specific pets. If you’d like to stop by, please reach out. We’d love for you to visit, say hello, and meet the wonderful cats waiting for their forever homes.

More about this rescue

The Hopewell Humane Society (HHS) is a small, loving nonprofit that has been serving the Hopewell community since the 1960s. We focus on helping unwanted and abandoned animals feel safe, cared for, and ready for their forever homes. Our work is powered mainly by volunteers - along with a small, dedicated staff - and supported entirely by donations from people who care as much as we do.

Every animal with us is treated like family, and our spay/neuter efforts help reduce overpopulation and save lives each year. If you’re looking to adopt, volunteer, or support our mission, we’d be thrilled to welcome you. When you adopt from HHS, you don’t just give an animal a home, you give them hope.
