My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Agnes!

Currently in Korea — Ready for adoption through Adopt Korean Rescue

Sweet Agnes is a 6-year-old ivory Jindo mix (15.5 kg, 47 cm tall) who has a heart as gentle as her soft cream coat. She was rescued from a local shelter in 2022 and has since been patiently waiting for her forever home.

Personality

Agnes is an affectionate and social girl who loves people — even strangers! She will happily lean in for pets, and if you have treats, she’ll offer her whole heart in return. Though she hasn’t met young children before, we believe she would do well under gentle supervision. She’s comfortable being lifted and will even show her belly once she feels safe and loved.

With Other Dogs

Agnes gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. She loves to greet and play with both familiar and new friends, but if her human is around, she’ll often choose cuddles over playtime. Even when other dogs act up, she calmly avoids conflict — such a graceful soul!

With Cats

Her reaction to cats hasn’t been tested yet, but she can be cat-tested upon request.

Walks & Energy

She has a moderate energy level — happy to enjoy outdoor adventures but calm and relaxed at home. Agnes walks beautifully on leash, doesn’t pull, and loves to sniff around. She’s confident even on busy streets and truly enjoys her walks.

Other Notes

Agnes doesn’t guard food from people or dogs, though she can be a bit enthusiastic when treats are around! She’s quiet, not prone to barking, and shows no signs of separation anxiety. She’s crate-trained, rides calmly in the car, and currently does her potty business outdoors.

Agnes is ready to bring calm, loyalty, and love into her forever family’s life.

If you’re looking for a gentle, well-mannered companion, this sweet girl might be the one for you!

Ready to bring peace, love, and loyalty into her forever home.

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.
