My name is AMARA I am a SHEPARD MIX UNKNOWN MIX I am ONE YEAR AND HALF YEAR OLD I am very friendly love to be petted and crave all the attention I can get I am good with any dog friends who comes around long as they arent to rowdy for me I even dont mind the cats I come across I would be great with any age groups even kids I just may back or coward down if it gets to be to much for me I am up to date on all vaccine and will be getting spayed soon will you come check me out or even welcome me into your home and heart

Our hours of business Tues-Fri 11-5 and Saturday 11-3. We are closed on Sunday and Monday.

Sign Adoption Contract

If it's a good match with you and your chosen pet then you'll sign the adoption contact and take you new friend to their furever home

Most dogs $95 and puppies $125
Cats/Kittens $65.00
However, we reserve the right to raise or lower the fees under special circumstances

Our adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccines, deworming, spay or neuter, flea/tick/heartworm prevention will be current, heartworm test if over 6 months old.

An Adoption Application must be completed and approved along with the necessary adoption fee paid before an animal will be released to a new adopter. We will hold the fee and the pet of your choosing during the application approval process. Most applications take 24-48 hours for complete approval.

More about this shelter

We are a private 501 (c) 3 shelter in rural West Tennessee. We are named after the late Mrs. Frances Halbrook Hensley. Mrs. Hensley was an avid animal lover of all dogs and cats. She sacrificed everyday essentials that most take for granted in order to leave all she could to build this facility. This shelter is her dream, her vision, her legacy and the very first of its kind for this community.

It is our Mission to carry out her legacy by giving abandoned and neglected animals in our community the love and care that they deserve while offering every opportunity to finding their forever home.
