We adopted Nala when she was about a year old. She’s incredibly cuddly, affectionate, and loves attention. When we introduced her to our older cat (6 years old), they got along fairly well at first, though playtime could be a bit rough. Over time, however, Nala became less tolerant and more reactive toward our other cat.
We’ve tried multiple reintroduction methods like separation, supervised feeding, and gradual visual contact, but haven’t seen lasting progress. Unfortunately, the tension between them has continued to grow, and we need to prioritize the well-being of both cats.
Nala is wonderful with people: sweet, social, and very loving. From what we’ve learned, some cats experience personality changes around age two that affect how they interact with other cats, which seems to be the case here.
We’re heartbroken to part with her, but we want her to have a happy, stress-free home. We’re also waiving any adoption fees to help her find the right fit.
