My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pumpkin is a punk-rock veteran with a southern gentleman’s smile. This Johnny Cash-come-again is here to live his life to the fullest.

At the shelter, we affectionately call him Uncle Pumpkin, because he’s every dog’s favorite uncle. He happily rough-houses with the younger dogs in the play yard—often leaving them in the dust as he zooms about—and then comes on inside for a well-earned snooze.

You can dress him up or take him out mudding on the trails; this fun-loving hound is at home wherever you are. He’s looking for a family who enjoys short bursts of high-energy play, light jogging, or a spunky sibling to tussle with in a fenced-in backyard.
