My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I’m Zio — a brown tabby boy with a big heart and even bigger purrs. Life wasn’t always cozy; I was found outside C.A.R.E., but luckily someone noticed me and helped me find my way inside where I truly belong.
I’m a playful, curious guy who loves to explore and show off my clever side. Toys, wand chases, new hiding spots — I’m in! But don’t let my energy fool you — I’m also a total snuggler. I love lap time, cuddles, and being the center of attention. If you sit down, I’ll probably join you (and yes, I’ll expect some pets while I’m there).
I’ve got a great appetite, I’m easy to pick up, and I love being around people. Sometimes I get a little too excited, but I calm down quickly — I just have a lot of love to give!
I’m sweet, fun, and full of personality — all I need now is a forever home where I can play, cuddle, and be your loyal little buddy.

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
