Tawny (1-2 years old)
Tawny is a tortoiseshell cat with large attitude to match. When she came to our shelter, she had an injury and felt under the weather, but as she has healed and felt better by the day, her outlook has improved, too. She likes to play with the wand toy, and she ventures out to say hello and beg for treats. Because she is a tortoiseshell she has some of that famous “tortitude.” If you aren’t familiar with tortitude, Tawny will teach you all about it. She’s an opinionated kitty, and she will tell you exactly what she wants and what she does not want in no uncertain terms. If you are patient and gentle with her, she will be friendly and sweet. Playing with her is the way to her heart, as are tasty treats (but not too many, as she is slightly heavy). She loves to take long naps, too. If your home and your heart are big enough for this super-sized personality, please stop by and let Tawny give you the once-over. If she approves of you (and it is her choice…), she may allow you to take her home with you and worship her. Tawny would do best in a home without children or dogs. She probably wants to be an only cat with all your attention focused on her!
