Meet Gabbie, an extremely sweet and affectionate little 12-week-old girl. Gabbie has a very unique black and white tuxedo coat pattern with a striking undercoat. She has a "smoke" or what is sometimes called a "Fever Coat" undercoat that is stripes and swirl spots like a tabby. Beautiful. She is very human oriented and loves to snuggle, cuddle and be with her humans. She loves affection as much as she will give it in return with head boops, cheek rubs and very loud purrs. Gabbie does love to talk and will tell you all about her day when you initiate conversation. Come bedtime she is quick to cuddle up close and purr herself, and you, to sleep. She gets along very well with other cats as she has been fostered with multiple others and is constantly wrestling and playing with her foster siblings. Gabbie will need to go to a forever home that will keep her health in her best interest. She did test positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) and may be potentially susceptible to getting sick from common feline colds with a compromised immune system. Cats with FIV can, and very often do, live a healthy cats full life span and can be homed with other cats that are non-FIV. Per HJC policy, and especially with her FIV, Gabbie must stay exclusively indoors to limit her exposure to potentially harmful bacteria and viruses. If you have any question about Gabbie, FIV or would like to adopt her, please complete an adoption application or give us a call.

More about this rescue
Happy Jack Cats, Inc., is a Idaho Non-Profit Corporation. We are a foster-based, feline, no-kill rescue and adoption group. Our kittens and cats are in foster homes throughout the Boise and Meridian areas, we have no store-front location. We always need donations, fosters parents, and volunteers.
Happy Jack Cats, Inc., (HJC) was founded in November 2015 by individuals concerned for the welfare of "throwaway" kittens and cats in the Boise and Meridian areas of Idaho. We have a Board of Directors consisting of three members. HJCI has no paid employees, but has a strong foster program made up of skilled volunteers in homes through-out the area. To date, all funding for HJCI is out-of-pocket or has come from donations, grants and re-homing fees.
One of our group had been working to save the lives of kittens for about four years before we incorporated, but as it became known in the community that she was very good at re-homing kittens, she was flooded with animals; orphaned, abandoned, lost, abused and otherwise unwanted. It was at this point, that she realized that there was a huge need.
Because of this, she decided to create a nonprofit organization to fill the void, recruited two like-minded people to form the board, and Happy Jack Cats, Inc. came into being.
HJC saves kittens from euthanasia that are too young to be adopted or have treatable conditions that would prevent them from being adopted. We take in kittens younger than twelve weeks of age, including bottle babies. At times we receive adult cats, particularly kitten mammas in need of spaying.
Even though our rescued animals often come from terrible circumstances, once bathed, wormed, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and vaccinated are beautiful, loving and very much in demand. Our goal is to place kittens and cats with families that will love and care for them for their lifespans.
Happy Jack Cats, Inc., is an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, EIN #47-5455805.
