My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Panda—a 6 to 7-month-old black and white cutie pie with brains, charm, and a whole lot of personality. I weigh 35 pounds, I’m neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. I’m a medium-sized pup who’s likely done growing, and yes, I’m easy to pick up.

I’m the dominant pup in my litter, but I’m also incredibly gentle and sweet. I get along with everyone—big dogs, tiny dogs, cats—and I’m especially gentle with kittens. I know how to adjust my play style depending on who I’m with. I’m crate trained, house trained (just keep my schedule), and I love my crate so much I nap there during the day. Tell me “go to bed,” and I’ll trot right in and settle down.

I’m smart, intuitive, and I don’t jump up. I sit for treats and pets, and I love chew toys—nyla bones are my favorite. I’m playful, but I also love to chill and watch TV with my people. I haven’t met kids yet, but I’m so gentle, I think I’d do great. I’m about 90% trained and just need to learn your house rules.

I’m in Myrtle Beach, SC, but I can be transported to the right home (transport fees may apply). If you’re looking for a clever, cuddly companion with a playful streak and a heart full of love, I’m your Panda.

Go meet their pets

Our adoptable dogs are all in various foster homes and can be met by contacting rescue. Rescue will then provide foster home's contact information. Meet and greets will be arranged between foster and potential adopters. We also have adoption events at Petsmart on various dates which can be checked on our Facebook page, Operation Save a Shelter Dog.

More about this rescue

Our Mission

Operation Save A Shelter Dog is a foster based, IRS-recognized 501c(3) rescue whose mission is to work with shelters on the East Coast by saving dogs at high risk of euthanasia or that have little hope of adoption in their current condition. Not only is it our goal to find furever homes for our dogs, but also to educate the public on the importance of spaying, neutering, vaccinating and providing preventative care for their pets.
