My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ahem… testing, testing… one-two-mew

I’m Dough-Re-Mi, your backstage pass to kitten drama, ensemble chaos, and unauthorized exploration. I’m not just part of the action—I am the action. If there’s a door cracked open, a drawer slightly ajar, or a forbidden shelf calling my name, I’m already halfway in. Rules? I skim them. Boundaries? I bounce off them.

I’m a full-time observer, part-time infiltrator, and lifelong member of the “include me or regret it” club. I don’t like being separated from my pack—if you’re doing something, I’m doing it too. Whether it’s folding laundry, Zoom calls, or sneaking snacks, I’m your shadow with whiskers.

New kitty friends? I open with a low grumble—just a quick overture to let them know I’m not sold yet. But don’t worry, it’s a short-lived rendition. I warm up fast, especially if they respect my spotlight.  So if you’re looking for a kitten who’s curious, clingy, and just a little bit defiant, I’m your girl. Dough-Re-Mi: the melody you didn’t know your life was missing.

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
