Jack is a smart protective dog that loves belly rubs and lots of attention. He will sit at your feet or in your lap for cuddle time. He hates the crate and often sleeps on the sofa or at the end of the bed. He loves to play with his toys and play fetch outside. He will always let you know when someone is at the door. We have 2 little kids that recently moved in with us and we discovered Jack does not do well with kids. Before the kids, he always alerted us when needing to potty, now he has had several accidents in the house. He has not totally outgrown nipping and jumping when greeting you. He will counter surf and find treasures in the trash if left alone.
With some training and attentiveness, Jack would be a wonderful addition to a family. He would do best in a family without younger kids, and with someone who does not have a busy schedule.
