Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blackie (who should really be called Black Beauty) landed in doggy jail after she and a street buddy helped themselves to some tasty chickens. From the looks of it, she's probably helped herself to quite a few as there isn't a visible bone on her body. Blackie would thrive in a home that will give her some forced exercise and help her reduce her gluttonous cravings. She gets along with some dogs, doesn't care for the antics of the shelter puppies, but we'd highly recommend no small pets as they seem to appear more like snacks. She is very toy obsessed and food motivated.

Our adoption process is three-fold: submit an application, meet the pet, then arrange for us to do your in-home interview.
Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
Some special circumstances may change the fee; see pet's listing for actual adoption fee.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf.
