Jane is a tender-hearted, shy sweetheart who’s slowly discovering that indoor life can be pretty wonderful. She came into foster care a little unsure of people, but with patience, love, and a few spoonfuls of wet food, she’s been blossoming into the sweetest little companion.

Unlike many of her chatty orange cousins, Jane has a quiet, thoughtful personality. She’s the kind of cat who would never cause a fuss — she truly wouldn’t hurt a fly. Most days, you’ll find her tucked into a favorite cozy spot, happily watching the world go by. She’s curious and observant, always keeping an eye on her humans or fellow pets, but she likes to take things slow and steady.

Jane is still learning the ins and outs of being an indoor cat, and it’s been such a joy to watch her confidence grow. Once she knows she’s safe, she loves to be gently picked up for cuddles, and she absolutely melts when you find her favorite spot for butt scratches. It’s her way of saying, “I trust you.” And once you’ve earned that trust, Jane will happily sit with you for as long as you’re willing to keep petting her.

She’s also a total foodie! The quickest way to Jane’s heart is through wet food — she’ll come out of hiding the moment she hears the can open. Mealtime has become one of her favorite parts of the day, and it’s when her playful, curious side really shines through.

Jane would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can continue to adjust at her own pace. She doesn’t need constant attention — just a gentle human who understands her quiet nature and will give her space to keep growing in confidence. Once she feels at home, she’ll give back tenfold in affection, loyalty, and love.
