Looking for a loving companion? Meet Frieda! This little lady really adores human company. What she wants more than anything is a lap to curl up in and her very own person to love. She is a total love-bug and will happily binge-watch Netflix with you for hours. Frieda also has a playful side. We estimate that she is about six years young.
Frieda could do well as an only cat or with another quiet, docile kitty who won't invade her space. Trapped in a vacant house, she has had to defend herself for so long that she can sometimes act a little bossy with her foster home roommates. We can only imagine the hardships Frieda has faced, yet she holds no grudges. She just wants love, safety, and regular meals — and boy she has a wonderful appetite! When she first arrived, we discovered that she was struggling to eat. A vet visit revealed broken and missing teeth — so painful! Thankfully, she’s had dental surgery, recovered beautifully, and now feels so much better.
Frieda is a healthy, affectionate, and deeply grateful cat who is ready for her second chance. If you are looking to make a real difference in a neglected cat’s life, this sweet girl will make a wonderful companion and reward you with endless love and devotion.

Additional adoption info
During review of the application if you rent your home, we confirm with your landlord that you are allowed to have the cat per your lease.
We also consider if a particular cat is a good fit for your home. Certain cats will do better in homes without small children, or without other cats. Other cats may need to be adopted with a cat that they are bonded with. So we make sure that the cat and the home are a good match before completing an adoption.
Some of our fosters allow trial adoptions, where you would have 2-3 weeks to make sure that the cat being adopted was accepted by the other pets in your home. If you are interested in this, please ask your Adoption Representative.
All cats adopted from Stray Cat Blues have been screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Additional vet work is completed for those cats that require additional care. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes until they are adopted.
You are also welcome to come visit cats at our PetSmart Collegeville and PetSmart North Wales/Montgomeryville locations (see times for adoption showings). If you see a cat there that you like, you can complete an adoption application there in person.
Questions - email us at: contact@straycatblues.org. We are happy to answer general questions, and also put you in touch with the foster families for questions about specific cats.
Adoption Fees:
• $150 - Kittens up to one year of age
• $100 - For cats over one year and up to 7 years of age
• $70 - For cats 7 years of age and over.
All fees are subject to Pennsylvania's 6% sales tax and a minimum of $5 or 5% service fee.
Fees for cats with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.
