They say the U.S. Postal Service delivers “just about everything.”
Timmy is living proof of that. We believe he was born near the Chrysler/Stellantis site at Mack and Connor on Detroit’s East Side. That’s where he was found.
Back in June, a young woman from the neighborhood said that her regular USPS delivery agent approached her front door holding a tiny kitten on its scruff. He said that he found the kitten in a prone position on a nearby sidewalk. Did she want it?
To her credit, she said “Yes!” when she noticed that the kitten needed veterinary assistance. She reached out to Detroit-based rescuers, and one responded.
On June 25, 2025 Timmy was taken to a veterinarian for evaluation. He was estimated to be about 6 weeks old and weighed 1.42 lbs. Very tiny, but feisty! Despite his rough start, Timmy is now a healthy kitty who is just a delightful bundle of energy. He is curious. He plays. He enjoys food and treats. He loves being petted and attended. Just a miracle kitty!
Timmy is neutered and fully vaccinated. He tested negative for FeLuk and FIV. He is microchipped. Just waiting for his forever home!

To apply to adopt one of our pets, please complete our online adoption evaluation form. We will respond to your inquiry promptly. Our adoption fees for cats includes Feluk/FIV combo test, current vaccines, spay/neuter & microchip. Our adoption fees for dogs includes heartworm test, current vaccines, spay/neuter & microchip. Spay/neuter deposit fees apply on any animals too young to be altered at the time of adoption, and the deposit is returned upon proof of spay/neuter.
We adopt to homes within a 2 hour driving range of MetroDetroit.
