My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

💙 Meet Blue - A Gentle Senior Seeking a Very Special Home

Blue is a sweet, 12-year-old senior gentleman who deserves the very best affection and companionship. He's looking for a very patient, understanding adopter who can offer him the calm, loving home he truly deserves.

Blue has ongoing urinary issues that require consistent monitoring, a stable routine, and an experienced caregiver who understands (or is willing to learn about) managing feline urinary needs. Because of this, Blue will do best as the only pet in a peaceful, low-stress home where he can feel safe, supported, and never rushed.

Despite his medical needs, Blue has so much love left to give. He enjoys gentle attention, cozy resting spots, and simply being near his person. He's a loyal soul who forms deep bonds with those who care for him.

Blue's ideal family is patient, compassionate, and committed to giving a senior cat the comfort and dignity he deserves in his golden years. If you have experience with urinary-prone cats-or are dedicated to learning-and want to make a meaningful difference for a senior friend, Blue may be the perfect match.

Blue is ready to share his quiet heart with someone special. Could that someone be you?

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
