My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Saffron, a stunning orange female longhair. Saffron was born around the beginning of May and was dumped on the streets. She was sick and undernourished when she was found by a passerby.

Saffron can be timid around new people but becomes an absolute delight once she comes out of her shell. She loves to run, play, and chase. When she is tuckered out, she likes to be with her people, either napping nearby or on a lap. She’s quick to purr when getting pets.

Saffron would do best in a home with another young cat who wants to play.

Saffron was born around May 1, 2025, and is currently being fostered in Naugatuck. She is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.

We are a foster-based rescue. All our cats reside in private homes. A meet-and-greet can be arranged for approved adopters only.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.fosterandforever.org. If all is well on your application, we will contact you about setting up a home visit by one of our volunteers.

**Please give your vet permission to release information to us as we check references.

The adoption fee for our cats covers the cost of spaying/neutering, age appropriate routine vaccinations, deworming, snap test, and flea preventive treatment. Some of our older cats are offered at a reduced fee in order to encourage placement in a permanent home.

Foster and Forever Pet Rescue Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue that was founded in 2011. We have been working since then to improve the lives of abandoned, abused and homeless animals by serving as an umbrella under which foster homes will provide care for homeless animals until loving permanent homes can be found.

We provide spay/neuter services and all necessary medical care, as well as food and supplies, and find foster homes to care for the animals we rescue until we are able to find them forever homes.
