Layla Mae is a gorgeous girl looking for a home where she can be doted upon. (She deserves it!) She loves lounging up on high perches, but will hop right down to rub up against your legs for pets once shes had a minute to meet you.

While not a lap cat, shes very affectionate and playful! She loves chasing feather toys, especially.

Layla Mae wants to be a solo cat so she doesnt have to share your attention. She needs to be an indoor cat in a household without children; wee ones make her a bit nervous.

Vashon Island Pet Protectors does not adopt dogs out on a first come first serve basis - instead working to make sure we have the best match for the animal in our care. We also limit our adoptions out to Washington State though will sometimes make exceptions to the Portland area.

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out the adoption inquiry application using the link below.

We will then follow up within a few days to discuss the dog and answer any questions you may have and if it appears the dog may be a good match we will schedule a time for you to come meet the dog. Our adoption process also requires personal and veterinary reference checks and a home visit and we require adopters to sign an adoption contract. Adoption fees are currently $150 and include vaccinations, microchipping and spay/neuter.
