If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
This dog is for someone experienced with rehibilitating dogs. She struggles to get along with another dog at first but quickly loves them.
I adopted Ellie from the East Oakland shelter 2 years ago. Ellie was traumatized. Found living on the streets. We believe she is around 4 years old now. We have done a lot of work with her and she has come so far.
She is house trained but still has accidents when it rains. I think she would do best in a house that had a doggy door.
Ellie has come around to my husband but you can tell she is scared of men. She would be best in a house with a single women who has a very consistent routine. Ellie needs a very patient person who will move slowly with her. I have a very outgoing loud personality and I think Ellie would do best with someone more quiet and shy.
Ellie does not play with toys but she loves to chew on bones and yak cheese bones and loves going on walks and car rides.
