Meridia and Azura were adopted and returned over a year later due to conflicts with the new cat. They are some adorable, sweet and friendly gals. Meridia unfortunately has symptoms of ovarian cysts, we have elected not to give her surgery because it is a very risky surgery. She is currently living life in comfort but will likely not live as long as a normal pig with this condition. The vet says there are some non-surgical options to explore if she starts to have worsening symptoms, like hormonal injections.https://www.lostwoodsas.com/adoption-application

We are a specialty rescue for small exotic pets, such as reptiles and small mammals. We were formed by two women who met working at a nature center. In their interactions with the public they noticed a need in the area for a rescue that specialized in exotic pets, as well as a value in public education. Lost Woods Animal Sanctuary was formed with the mission to reduce mistreatment and abandonment of animals through rescue and rehoming, as well as educational outreach.
