My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet 2 year old, 8 lb energetic Terrier, Derek. Derek came to us from an Inland Empire shelter where he entered as a stray. He is the most adorable, happy pup. He is a fast, nonstop playful dog, who would do best in a home where he will get lots of activity and attention from a family who can keep up with him. Derek loves belly rubs when he takes the time to ask for them. Due to his size and speed, we don't recommend him with young children. Apply to meet Derek at adoptocpets.org/adopt

More about this rescue

The Pet Adoption Center of Orange County is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that develops and provides creative solutions to find safe, loving, permanent homes for displaced pets in our community.

We offer adoption services, as well as placement and referral services, to successfully match pets with highly compatible people and families. Through public education, we encourage humane pet care and responsible, long-term pet ownership. We bring together people with pets, and individuals with their community, to create the social change needed to achieve our goal of reducing shelter euthanasia rates and eliminating pet overpopulation.
