Boudreax’s story began when he was brought to us as a stray by the Forestry Service. He wasn’t alone — his sister was by his side. The two had clearly been through a lot together.
While his sister has since found her forever home, Boudreax is still waiting for his turn.
Shortly after arriving, Boudreax was diagnosed with a salivary mucocele, a condition that required surgery. Thanks to the support of our community and the incredible kindness of his sister’s adopter — who also stepped up to foster him — Boudreax has been surrounded by love during his recovery.
And here’s what we’ve learned about him:
Boudreax is an absolute sweetheart.
He is gentle, affectionate, and eager to please.
He bonds quickly to his people and has the kind of soulful eyes that seem to say, “I just want to be yours.”
At just 2 years old, Boudreax is still young, playful, and ready for adventures — but he also has a calm, steady side that makes him a wonderful companion. He enjoys being near his people, soaking up attention, and just being part of the family.
His foster says he is a great dog — the kind that settles in, fits into routines easily, and makes you wonder how he ever ended up without a home in the first place.
Boudreax has already overcome uncertainty and medical challenges. Now he’s ready for the part of his story that lasts forever — a home of his own.
If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with a big heart and an even bigger capacity for love, Boudreax may be the one you’ve been waiting for.
Come meet him.
Let him show you just how special he is. 🐾💙
