Their adoption process
Out-of-State Adoptions: We happily work with adopters across the continental U.S. Transport options can be discussed during the home visit.
Adoption Fees: Fees help cover veterinary care, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and other essential needs to ensure your pet is happy and healthy. Your pet will come home spay/neutered, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, dewormed, vaccinated, and will have all medical needs addressed prior to adoption.
Trial Period: We offer a two-week trial period for local adopters to ensure the adoption is the right fit for you and your new pet.
Post-Adoption Support:
Our team is here to help with any questions or concerns after adoption to ensure a smooth transition. We’re committed for life—if at any point you can no longer care for your pet or if unforeseen circumstances arise, KPA will always take back any animal adopted through our organization. We’re here to ensure they’re safe and loved forever.

- Start by completing our quick and easy adoption form. This helps us learn more about you, your household, and why you'd like to adopt
- Home Check
- Schedule a virtual home visit. During the visit, you’ll give us a short tour of the main living areas where the pet will stay.
- Approve Application
- Meet the Pet
- We’ll arrange a virtual or in-person meet-and-greet with the pet and their foster parent. This is your chance to learn about the pet’s perso
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Pay Fee
- Take the Pet Home
- Welcome your new pet home! We will help coordinate pickup or transport to ensure your furry friend arrives home safely.

Currently, we do not have a physical location like a shelter or kennel for meeting our pets. However, we host virtual and in person meet-and-greets by appointment and attend local adoption events!
