My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🧡 Meet FloJo — The Sunshine-Sweet Ginger Girl 🧡

If you’ve been dreaming of a gentle, affectionate cat who lights up every room she walks into, FloJo may be the one. This lovely orange tabby is as warm as her coloring — soft, social, and calmly curious about everything around her.

✨ About FloJo:
• Beautiful orange tabby with bright, expressive eyes
• Friendly and people-oriented
• Enjoys soft pets, cozy spots, and quiet companionship
• Easygoing temperament — a peaceful presence
• A wonderful match for anyone wanting a calm, loving companion

FloJo has the sweetest nature and would love a home where she can relax, settle in, and be your everyday friend. Whether she’s lounging in a sunny window or asking for gentle affection, she brings a gentle happiness wherever she goes.

More about this shelter

A not-for-profit organization, Monroe County Friends of Animals help the County by raising funds to build a new facility for our animals. It is called the Eastbourne Animal Center and has now replaced the old Monroe County Animal Shelter. They provide volunteers, fundraising events, grant writing and more. There is always a need for more volunteers. With a small budget, donations are a welcome necessity. We have developed educational programs to promote spay/neuter and humane care of all animals.
