Bold, brave, and often fearless! Angelou is an adventurous spirit who approaches life with unbridled enthusiasm. She's always the first to investigate a new toy, explore an unfamiliar corner, or dive face-first into dinner (literally!). Angelou has feline cerebellar hypoplasia (FCH), which gives her a distinctive wobble, but her condition doesn't dampen her confidence or zest for life one bit. She tackles every challenge with determination and joy! As an indoor-only cat with easy litter box access and a few safety considerations (no unsecured stairs or balconies), Angelou will thrive in a home that appreciates her spirited personality and can provide a calm, hazard-free environment for her adventures.

Our rescue and adoption program provides temporary care at the Love & Friendship Adoption Center and in foster homes for unwanted and abandoned animals. We also provide a website to help in finding adoptive homes for these animals.
In 2013 the Spay/Neuter Assistance Program of Northeast Iowa (SNAP) joined HSNEI to become one organization working for animals in northeast Iowa.
HSNEI is a Best Friends Network Partner and a PetCo Foundation Partner.
