Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If you’re looking for a sweet-as-pie, wrinkly-faced young pup with years of love to give and a heart of gold, look no further than Ruger! Ruger is a boy who loves his people and shelter pals and can’t wait to get into a home where he can spend lots of time with his furever family. He doesn’t care what you’re doing, as long as you’re together! Volunteers adore this boy, sharing:
“Ruger was very polite greeting me in his kennel. He was easy to leash and excited to get out on his walk. He is extremely treat motivated and knows his sit command and he did well learning the “down” command. We walked all around the lake. He’s very affectionate and leans to you for a good side rub. He generally just likes affection. He likes to take his time on walks and take in the world. Overall, just a great guy.”
Ruger is a smart and athletic dog who would love to find a family committed to giving him lots of physical and mental stimulation. He’s been working on crate training while in the shelter and this will be a crucial part of his success in a future home. Ruger would like to meet any potential furry housemates before heading to his furever home to ensure a good fit.
If you’ve had your eyes peeled for a dog who’s as smart as he is handsome, look no further than very good boy Ruger!
