My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mamba is a 4-year-old Boxer weighing just under 63 pounds, and she’s as loving and loyal as they come. This sweet girl wants nothing more than to make her people feel adored every second of the day. In the house, she’s relaxed, easygoing, and happiest simply being part of whatever you’re doing—following you from room to room, curling up nearby, or settling in for a quiet moment.

She’s very reliably housetrained, will go to the door when she needs out, and even potties on command. She tolerates a crate but doesn’t need one—she can be trusted loose and sleeps soundly in bed with her foster family (often with the 8-year-old!).

Mamba is wonderful with children of all ages and has been incredibly patient and gentle in her foster home—even letting the baby hand-feed her breakfast. She loves giving kisses, resting her head in laps, and being a comforting presence. She’s also great with other dogs, is friendly with strangers, and would likely do well with cats.

She enjoys car rides, walks nicely on leash, and knows a couple of tricks, including sit and shake. While she can get excited and occasionally jump up, she’s already working on keeping all four paws on the ground. Above all, her personality shines as friendly, quiet, submissive, loyal, and deeply people-oriented.

Mamba would fit beautifully into almost any home. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who’s as devoted as she is easy to live with, Mamba might just be your perfect match. Her adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
