Hi, I`m Dionne! A 9-month-old, ~25 lb Boston Terrier mix. I am a timid little girl at first, but once I warm up and feel safe, I am the silliest, sweetest, most loving and loyal companion one could ask for.
Personality: Dionne may start off a little cautious with new people, but once she feels safe, she becomes an affectionate, loyal little shadow. She’s a pro snuggler, gives excellent kisses, and enjoys short bursts of playful energy before settling in for cuddles. She loves; walks, scratches, toys, treats, bones, and even chasing her own tail.
Training & House Manners: - Potty trained - Sleeps through the night quietly in her crate and keeps it clean - Crate trained during the workday — relaxes calmly while her foster parents are away - SUPER SMART and treat-motivated which makes her eager to please/learn, she already knows “sit”, `lay`, `paw`, `high five` and more! - Good on leash and loves getting out for walks and enjoys all the smells - will need continued training as there is some leash pulling (mostly due to excitement) and some barking at strangers on walks, positive signs of improvement here already, but more work to do for sure) - Loves scratches and will melt in your lap if you hit the right spot
Good with dogs and kids, but too excited for cats! More on this: - Dogs: Yes! She enjoys the resident dog in her foster home and loved meeting dogs of all sizes at a recent adoption event - Kids: Yes! She was gentle, sweet, and loved climbing into laps for kisses or playing fetch when she`s met kids - Cats: No. Dionne gets overly excited around cats and small animals, so she will need a cat-free home
Ideal Home: Dionne will thrive with an adopter who can give her some time and patience to warm up. Once she trusts you, she bonds deeply and becomes a devoted, loving companion.

Our process includes the completion of an application Upon completion of the application we will:
Contact your vet for information on current and previous animals. It is critical that you have authorized your vet to release information to us.
If you are a renter, we will contact your landlord for verification of animal acceptance, or you can provide a copy of your lease.
Complete a background check using publicly available information.
If applying to adopt a dog, we will complete a home visit which requires all household members to be present.
After the approval is complete you will be free to meet our animals. When meeting dogs, all members of the household as well as any dogs will be required to meet prior to finalizing any adoption.
Our process is thorough and allows us to make every effort to identify the right match for your family. Please be forthcoming of all information during the process as that is what allows us to find the match. Adding a new family member is FOREVER and will adjust your free time, finances and overall life style. Animal adoption is a serious decision.
JR's Pups-N-Stuff, Inc. is a volunteer based organization. Most volunteers have full time jobs and families. Our dedication to helping each and every animal find the right match can take time. Please understand and be patient during the process. Thank you.

More about this rescue
We are an all breed dog rescue and help with some cats as well. We strive to help reduce the over population of pets by spaying and neutering our pets and find forever homes for pets left in shelters that otherwise would be euthanized.
