Meet Harold. Harold is a pint-sized guy who is full of life. He is 30ish pounds and about 1.5 years old. He plays very well with other dogs and is super sweet with people, even strangers. He loves to sit in your lap and give little kisses. He is an expert tug of war player and is happy to chase or be chased by a buddy. He has been great with meeting and playing with new dogs.
Harold is house trained with zero accidents in his foster’s home.
He is crate trained and currently being fed, given bones, and put to bed in his crate. He holds his potty and sleeps well through the night.
Harold is happy all the time. He loves food, treats, toys, playing, and snuggling. He knows “sit”, “off”, and has a pretty good understanding of “wait”.
Harold enjoys walks, but pulls a good amount for his small size. He is somewhat reactive to other dogs on leashes. His foster takes him on a daily walk to help him get used to things. He is already improving with a cheese distraction.
Harold is probably not good with cats as he seems to have a strong reaction when he sees critters on a walk. We have not seen him with kids yet, but expect him to be sweet, playful, and snuggly just like he is with adults. This little guy is the perfect size and personality to be your next best friend.
Harold is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and started on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $250 and you can apply to adopt at mpravl.org.
All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.
Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
