My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How's this for a bio?

Meet Turtle!

Age: 11 months

Adoption Fee: $85 (includes spay, microchip & registration, vaccines, and deworming)

Turtle’s story started with a little adventure! A kind Good Samaritan brought her to a local pet ER, but this clever girl made a break for it in the parking lot. Thankfully, her explorer days were short-lived — the very next day she decided rescue life wasn’t so bad after all and allowed herself to be safely caught.

Turtle is a gentle, shy soul who’s still learning to trust her surroundings. She’s done great with her litter box and has perfect manners. While she hasn’t “chosen violence,” she definitely prefers her own space and would thrive in a quiet home with no more than one other calm cat (or none at all).

Turtle would do best with older children who can respect her boundaries and let her come around at her own pace. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality starts to shine through — she just needs someone patient who will give her the time and love she deserves.

If you’re looking for a mellow companion who will appreciate a peaceful, cozy home, Turtle may be your perfect match.

Turtle comes spayed, microchipped (including registration), dewormed, and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $85.

Additional adoption info

How it works-

If you are interested in adopting with us, the first step is an application. We will call two personal references and a veterinary reference (if applicable). The next step is a home check which can be done via sending in a video, or at the time we bring the animal over for a meet and greet.

Go meet their pets

We do not have a facility or hours of operation. To meet available cats or kittens, the first step is to submit an adoption application. Once approved, a meet and greet can be arranged!

More about this rescue

The POUNCE Alliance is a federally licensed 501c3 non profit, feline focused, foster based animal rescue. We heavily focus on TNR (trap-neuter-return) of feral cat colonies to minimize the number of felines born outdoors without proper resources to live and thrive. Thousands of cats are born outdoors every year in our community and the focus of POUNCE is to combat the issue with spay/neuter, vaccinations, and medical treatment. With TNR comes many found kittens, tame cats, and sickly community cats who we cannot ethically return back to their home. This is why POUNCE also has a foster and adoption program for adoptable and "hospice" cases who are either tame or are too fragile to return to the outdoors.
