Meet Calla Carter! 🐾

Calla Carter is a beautiful 1-year-old Tabby Domestic Shorthair cat who was found as a stray and is now hoping to find a loving forever home. This sweet girl has a gentle heart and a calm, affectionate nature that makes her easy to love.
Calla Carter is doing well with other cats and enjoys their company. We’re not sure yet how she does with dogs or kids, and we also don’t know if she’s fully house or litter box trained — but with time and patience, she’s sure to adapt wonderfully.
She is up to date on vaccinations and ready to be adopted into a home where she can finally feel safe and loved. 💕

Calla Carter's Adoption Fee is $60 plus taxDogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. Our system automatically updates adoptable websites every two hours. Feel free to email or call us with any questions you may have. Our contact number is 270-887-4175. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30-4 and is closed daily for lunch from 12:30-1. Adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis for owner releases. Strays have a wait list.

Monetary donations can be made over the phone or in person any time we are open. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30-4 and close daily for lunch from 12:30-1. Item donations can be shipped to the shelter or dropped off in person at 2935 Russellville Road, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.

Sign Adoption Contract

Complete the paperwork in person or over the phone.

Take the Pet Home

Take the animal home the same day.

Our mission is to help animals in need through sheltering, adoption, education, spay/neuter, and community outreach. We strive to build a community where people value animals and treat them with respect and kindness thus bringing an end to the cruelest practices towards animals. We aim to lower the number of homeless/unwanted animals and build a stronger animal protection movement within the community. Most importantly, we strive to find the best possible outcomes for all animals released into our care.
