My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Barney!

Barney is a handsome 2 year old black cat who is ready to find his forever home. He is initially shy, but is still affectionate and enjoys a good snuggle, making him a wonderful companion for a patient adopter.

Barney is a "suckler." This cute habit, common in some cats as a self-soothing behavior from kittenhood, means he absolutely loves to gently knead and suckle on soft blankets. It's his way of feeling secure and he will often show it after a good petting session. It's one of the most heartwarming things you'll ever witness. Making sure he has plenty of soft blankets in his new home will make him the happiest boy in the world!

Barney is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of attention and affection from someone who is willing to go at his pace. He is ready to find a loving forever home where he can get the attention and affection he deserves.

If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate, and loyal companion, Barney might be the cat for you. Apply today!

Additional adoption info

Our main goal is to find forever homes for our animals, based on their individual needs. For this purpose, we take applications for every cat and dog. This application is the first step towards adoption! Applications are not first come first served, but instead best first match for the animal, first served. Once a suitable applicant is found, our staff calls that party to schedule a meet and greet and - if all goes well - an adoption takes place that day!
