My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Willa: Still Searching, But Finally Seen

Willa arrived as a transfer from Wilkes County Animal Services after being found wandering as a stray, thin, nervous, and completely alone. But the Wilkes community saw her. They rallied to get her safe and gave her the chance at something better. And when space opened up here, we knew we had to help.

Now in foster care, Willa is finally getting what she’s long deserved: rest, reassurance, and real love.

Her foster says she’s a people person, through and through. She doesn’t want to play unless you’re beside her. She responds gently to “no”, slept through the night, and hasn’t had a single accident. She’s treat-motivated, soul-soft, and soaking up every ounce of kindness like she’s been waiting for it her whole life.

We don’t know her whole story. But we know she’s ready to write a new one, with someone who won’t look past her.

Willa is an 84-pound, spayed female pup.
