My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A long time ago in a living room far, far away….

Meet Han, the dashing, charismatic and confident guinea pig of the duo. Han calls the shots, and always “shoots” first (aka grabbing a tasty treat). He is the type to saunter confidently towards you for a quick head pet, or to quietly investigate something is near. Never tell him the odds, as the odds are always in his favor that he can convince you for just one more treat.

Chewy is Han’s best buddy and dedicated co-pilot. You can never find one without the other, and this Chewy doesn’t have a Wookie life debt either. He’s The quiet observer standing off to the side, the best buddy, and has the mightiest of wheeks.

Both of these best friends can do the “Kessel” (tunnel) run in less than 12 parsecs. They both have roguish charm, and a heart of gold. As Han would say, “Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good carrot”.

This inseparable duo would be the perfect fit for any family. With questions about Han and Chewy, or any of our small animals available for adoption, e-mail Smallies@RISPCA.org.

Additional adoption info

Matchmaking is what we love to do. We do our very best to find the best fit for the pets awaiting adoption at the Rhode Island SPCA. The first step to adopting a dog from the Rhode Island SPCA is filling out an adoption application. If your application is selected, you will be contacted and asked if you would like to schedule a meet & greet. Because of the volume of applications we receive, sometimes we can only respond to the selected applicant. You are always welcome to contact us anytime about the status of your application at adoption@rispca.com.
