My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lonny!
Lonny is a real sweetheart who may take a little time to warm up, but once he does, he loves head scratches and will happily knead away making biscuits 🥰
He enjoys his food, loves catnip, and is a big fan of cardboard scratchers!

He also loves taking cat naps and lounging around!
Lonny doesn’t do well with dogs but he is friendly around other cats!🚫🐶

Lonny is patiently waiting for his forever home and it might take him a bit longer than most kitties, all because he’s positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) But don't let that scare you away, this PAWSitive Pal has so much love to give! 🐾💕

FeLV-positive cats can live happy lives and fill your home with joy, snuggles, and purrs. While his diagnosis does come with some considerations before adopting, he deserves a chance at a wonderful life, just like any other kitty!🏡❤️

We know the perfect family is out there who will see beyond his diagnosis and embrace the love Lonny is ready to share!

More about this rescue

Partners for Pets is a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue located in Troy, IL. Since our opening in 2003, Partners for Pets has rescued and re-homed over 21,000 cats and dogs, who would have otherwise been euthanized in local area animal control facilities. Partners for Pets works diligently to help local area animal control facilities reach no-kill status by opening our doors to the neglected, sick, weak, and injured. No matter their chances of survival, we do everything in our power to give these animals a second chance at life-a life that is full of the love, care, and compassion that they were lacking before.
