Gladys is a sweet, outgoing, independent kitty with a heart as big as her personality! She loves meeting new people and will happily follow you around just to be part of the action. Her slightly misshapen ears give her an extra dose of charm and character — we think they make her even more adorable! They don’t bother her one bit, and she’s as healthy and happy as can be.
Gladys only likes to be picked up on her terms, so a home that understands she is an independent girl would be best. When she wants a pet, she will very gently tap her paw on you.

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your environment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!

As one of the largest humane societies in Ontario, we currently operate two animal shelters to support people and pets in our communities. The Stratford Perth Humane Society supports Perth County, while the Kitchener Waterloo Humane Society supports Waterloo Region (less Cambridge) and began serving the community in 1927.
